Helen Bruner - Philadelphia native Grammy® nominated artist, songwriter, producer and 1/2 of the duo Helen Bruner & Terry Jones.  Bruner's first song published as a teen Perfect Lover was recorded by Grammy® winners the Pointer Sisters and produced by the legendary producer Richard Perry the song was never release but this interaction gave Bruner more incentive to pursue a full time career in Music .  As a recording artist Bruner's 1990 self penned house classic Over You by Taken feat. Helen Bruner on Warlock Records and licensed to Island Records UK for the now classic War Party compilation.  Bruner got the attention of Cardiac Records owned by Virgin records in 91' and Cardiac  signed Bruner and released the Billboard Dance Top 20  classic Gimme Real Love penned by Bruner.  Before Cardiac folded into Virgin Records the label released Bruner's single Missin You which reached #72 on the Billboard R&B charts.  Bruner's songs have reached No. 1 on the Billboard Charts, featured in Film/TV and licensed to over 250 compilation albums worldwide.  Bruner believes in giving back to her music community and frequently speaks on panels and workshops.  Bruner is a voting member of the Recording Academy since 1998 and in 2002 was elected the first female President of the Philadelphia Chapter of The Recording Academy.  Bruner made history again as the first female of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Recordings Academy elected to serve as a National Trustee and has served as an elected leader throughout the years. Bruner is currently the co-chair of Awards and Nominations.  As a studio owner Bruner's clients ranges from Grammy®  winners Post Malone, Erykah Badu, rapper Ty Dolla $ign, rock band Cage The Elephant, brands Corona, BMI and a list of others. 

Bruner took the driver seat with Jones co-writing, co-producing, performing and mixing the duo's r&b/soul album Hollyhood. Hollyhood held the #1 spot for five consecutive weeks on the Official UK Soul Charts.
As a part of the duo Helen Bruner & Terry Jones, Bruner has toured internationally performing in venues throughout the US, Europe, Japan, Grammy Pre-Telecast 2007 & 2008, and have shared the stage with Dave Koz, Steve Vai, Ledisi, Patti LaBelle, and others.

The 54th Annual Grammy® Awards winners were announced on February 12, 2012 and Bruner & Jones song Get To Know Me produced, written and performed by the duo came away with a big win. Get To Know Me is featured on Grammy® winning All About Bullies...Big and Small for Best Children's Album.  
Bruner & Jones journey as independent artist and women in the new music business model has been turned into a documentary film, Indie Soul by film maker Chakka Reeves and premiered September 24, 2011 at the Congressional Black Caucus Film Series in Washington DC.  Bruner has received numerous awards throughout her career.( see discog page to see all honors))

Terry Jones

Terry Jones Grammy Nominated, Artist, Songwriter, Producer and one-half of the duo Helen Bruner & Terry Jones. Jones as a solo artist was signed to Atlantic Records, the label  released Jones single Do It Again.    Phil’erzy’s released the album Soul Talkin produced by Bruner & Jones on legendary soul singer Linda Jones, Terry's mother. Grammy® Nominations for the 2009 51st Annual Grammy Awards were announced and Philerzy basked in an emotional triple treat: The Empress of Soul Linda Jones, Terry Jones and Helen Bruner all earned their first GRAMMY® nomination for Baby I Know, off the Linda Jones cd “Soul Talkin” for Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance.  As a background vocalist, Jones has worked on recording projects for GRAMMY winners Celine Dion, Gloria Estefan and is the featured vocalist on Redman/Method Man’s platinum-seller, “How High.”  Jones has written and produced songs that have reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts as well as many international charts. Her songs have been licensed to numerous compilations worldwide, television series, soundtracks and film, most notably the Paramount Pictures blockbuster release, The Score starring Robert DeNiro.  In 2010 Philerzy Productions released the Helen Bruner & Terry Jones album Hollyhood which held the No. 1 spot for five consecutive weeks on the Official UK Soul chart. Jones also performed, produced and wrote songs for All About Bullies...Big And Small, which won a GRAMMY for Best Children’s Album for 2012.  Recipient of the Linda Creed Shining Star award, a songwriter’s award, she and Bruner received the IM3 Media 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award.  Jones’s journey, along with Bruner, as women, independent artist, label owners and publishers in the new music business model was turned into a documentary film, Indie Soul, by filmmaker Chakka Reeves. As a performer, Jones has toured internationally in venues throughout the United States, Europe and Japan.  Jones, is currently working on new projects for US and international artists as well as co-manager of the creative careers of several multi-platinum songwriter/producers. Jones's company Philerzy Productions inked a deal in 2015 to partner with Italian media company Level 2 s.r.l/Dreambeat Recordings s.r.l with several releases licensed to compilation albums throughout Europe. Jones’ schedule has been full this past year working with artist such as Post Malone, Ty Dolla $ign and many others.  Recipient of the 2018 Women of Substance and Style Award.  Jones is a voting member of the Recording Academy and has served as President of the Philadelphia Chapter of The Recording Academy.
