About Aliyah Khaylyn

Aliyah Khaylyn, 23, hails from the historic West Philadelphia area. From a young age, her mother

recognized her gift, and by age 6, she was performing in church and attending vocal and piano lessons.

Aliyah’s first professional performance came at age 12, backed by a live band and background singers at

Warmdaddy’s, a notable Philadelphia restaurant known for its southern classic menu and vibrant live jazz,

blues, and R&B entertainment. In the same year, she sang “America the Beautiful” in the U.S. Open. The

recent Berklee College of Music graduate has a bachelor's degree in professional music. This prestigious

achievement was supported by a full, four-year scholarship awarded upon her completion of Berklee’s

Aspire program in 2019.

Since her early years, Aliyah has emerged as a shining example of talent and perseverance. Her journey

has taken her from the legendary Apollo Theater in New York City to performing in front of icons such as

Patti LaBelle, Kenny Gamble, and Leon Huff. A standout moment in her career came when she was

chosen to perform a solo piece in the acclaimed T eddy Pendergrass documentary If You Don’t Know Me.

Out of thousands of hopefuls, Aliyah was selected as the featured talent, affirming her potential to

captivate audiences worldwide.

Aliyah's commitment to her dreams is deeply rooted in the legacy of her mother, who passed away while

Aliyah was pursuing her education. Reflecting on this life changing moment, Aliyah shared,

“I made a

tough decision to continue my education… To prove to myself and my mother that I would never give up,

to continue a legacy of greatness.

Aliyah credits her faith and passion for allowing her to keep her

“sanity, peace, essence, purpose, joy, love, compassion, ambition, grace, and LIGHT.
